The International Scientific Committee on Indoor Air Quality and Public Health lies at the heart of this initiative. Composed of 20 experts from diverse backgrounds, it provides structured, credible, and policy-oriented scientific expertise to inform a policy brief that will serve as the foundation for supporting the submission of a resolution at the World Health Assembly, calling on WHO to develop a comprehensive global strategy on indoor air quality.
Working through an interdisciplinary approach, the Committee brings together researchers, public policy and regulatory experts, civil society representatives, and field practitioners who have been working for years to improve indoor air quality and public health.
By building a shared, science-based consensus, the Committee guides the overall direction of the project, safeguarding the rigor and independence of its recommendations.
